Many thanks to Fionn from Supergeneration who delivered an excellent workshop to our 2nd year students yesterday and again to their parents last night. The students engaged with a variety of study and memory based concepts and techniques. These included: motivation development, establishing a positive mind-set, composing summary sheets, effective planning, designing mind-maps, exploring different learning styles and the POKER (Pre-test, Overview, Keywords, Etch and Sketch, Retest) system. We were delighted to see how the content of the seminar neatly dovetailed with our own Learn to Learn Programme here in CCC. Together these programmes give students the platform from which they can effectively and efficiently engage with, and revise, the content of their subjects. #superstudents #learningtolearn
