The CCC Student Council is a representative body within our school, comprising students from all year groups. The Council meets twice weekly to discuss and propose initiatives aimed at enhancing the school environment and improving the overall student experience.

Members of the Student Council have the opportunity to take on various leadership roles, including Chairpersons, Secretaries, and other key positions that contribute to the smooth operation of the Council. These roles not only allow students to actively participate in decision-making but also help them develop valuable leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.

During our meetings, the Council sets clear objectives for the academic year, with a focus on creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all students. Three main goals are established annually, one for each school term, and we work collectively to ensure their successful implementation.

The Student Council plays a vital role in giving students a voice in school governance, fostering a sense of responsibility and community involvement. In line with national guidelines for secondary schools in Ireland, the Council also serves as a key platform for promoting democratic participation and leadership among students, ensuring that the needs and ideas of the student body are heard and acted upon.

By engaging with both students and school staff, the CCC Student Council works to create meaningful change and to improve the day-to-day life of all students.
