As part of the enterprise strand in the new Junior Cycle Business Studies course, 2nd year students have explored the steps involved in the development of a new product from idea generation right through to product launch. Investigating, exploring and working with theory in practice provides an invaluable learning experience for students both academically and personally.
The outcome of this process is the development and launch of two products which students will sell at their stall in the Market Green Shopping Centre, Midleton this Sunday, 10th December from 10am until 5pm. Remaining stock will be sold in school before the Christmas break. The first product is entitled ‘A Present for Santa’, the proceeds of which will act as seed capital for their 1st Junior Cycle Business Studies Classroom Based Assignment in March 2018. The second product is ‘Christmas Cards for Charity’, the proceeds of which will be donated to Pieta House. Please see pictures attached for product descriptions.
This event and student participation in the whole process will be recognised on their Junior Cycle Profile of Achievement. Their participation, enthusiasm, effort and work ethic on this task is to be highly commended.
Please call in to the Market Green Shopping Centre, Midleton on Sunday 10th to support our 2nd year students on their venture to raise money for a future business idea and for Pieta House. #futurebusinessminds
