Geography ROCKS
Our inquisitive 2nd years had a very enjoyable day on Thursday as they ventured up to the beautiful Co. Clare to explore the Karst landscape of the Burren, the amazing limestone features of Aillwee Caves and spectacular Cliffs of Moher. Seeing these geographical formations first hand helps to copper-fasten the learning that students undertake in the physical geography component of the Junior Cycle syllabus. Basking in the summer sun, the students were even treated to an amazing ‘Bird of Prey’ show, where they learned about the abilities and characteristics of some of Irelands amazing hunting birds. Many thanks to Ms O’ Reilly for organising the trip.
