Yesterday afternoon, Carrigtwohill Community Centre was transformed into a magical winter wonderland to host the very first CCC Christmas Extravaganza. From Santa’s Grotto, to Candy Cane Lane, Children’s Festive Face-Painting to Story Telling Corner, Elf Arts and Crafts, to the Cookies, Cakes and Coffee Station, all angles were covered. Our heavenly CCC College Choir, along with the Carrigtwohill Gospel Choir, provided us with festive tunes. As a college, we never cease to be amazed at how creative, hard working, committed and supportive our FANTASTIC Parents’ Association is. Led by Head Elf, Dympna Nolan, who deserves a special word of thanks, her amazing team of elves (parents) spent the last seven months preparing and planning for this event and the enormous turnout on the day is testament to their efforts. We were very proud to have our own students, who turned up in huge numbers, to assist with face-painting, story time, and manning the many stalls. Many thanks to the sponsors of the 53 amazing prizes and to the Community Council for offering the use of the community hall. As a growing college we know the importance of building links and relationships with the community and events such as these allow us to copper-fasten our commitment to the community of Carrigtwohill and beyond; so thank you to all who supported and enjoyed the festivities. #partofthecommunity #christmasspirit #dedicatedparents
