And so another year has gone by! Friday saw the end of the third academic year in C.C.C., a day filled with the tail end of our Summer Assessments, a presentation of a cheque for €1,122 to Trocaire and an Awards Ceremony which gave well deserved recognition to our great students for their attitude, determination, skills, ethos and contribution towards life in the college. Well done to all of the award recipients, especially our Attendance Award recipients who only missed one or zero days in the entire academic year, to Sarah Barrett (1st Year Student of the Year), Cian O’Riordan( 2nd Year Student of the Year), Alan Whelan (3rd Year Student of the Year) and to Cian O’Riordan and Alan Whelan who were both also awarded our highest, highly coveted, award of ‘Characteristic Spirit of C.C.C.’; outstanding students who encompass everything we stand for in C.C.C. The House Cup went to House of Ignis for the first time; well done to Alice Bogue and Alan Whelan, House Captains, for leading their house to Victory! We were treated to a fantastic piano recital from 2nd Year student, Alan Chen, who was also awarded with a Special Achievement Award for his success in recent competitions. There were numerous awards presented on the day and we would like to congratulate all of the recipients and indeed the many many students who received nominations. We are incredibly proud of you all.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our students, parents, staff, and patrons a very happy summer break. Please stay safe over the summer months and we look forward to August when our new cohort of ninety 1st year students will begin their educational journey in C.C.C. #schoolsoutforthesummer
