Awards 2017/2018

1st June 2018Winnie Daly

And so another year has gone by! Today saw the end of the second academic year in C.C.C., a day filled with the tail end of our Summer Assessments, a mid-day House Competition featuring games and activities that tested our students agility, speed, balance, patience and accuracy and an Awards Ceremony which gave well deserved recognition to our great students for their attitude, determination, skills, ethos and contribution towards life in the college. Well done to all of the award recipients, especially our Attendance Award recipients, who made up over a third of the student body, and who only missed one or zero days in the entire academic year, to Ava Byrne (1st Year Student of the Year), Alan Whelan and Clodagh O’ Regan ( Joint 2nd Year Students of the Year) and to Hazel Nolan who was awarded our highest, highly coveted, award of ‘Characteristic Spirit of C.C.C.’; an outstanding student who encompasses everything we stand for in C.C.C. The House Cup went to House of Ventus for the second year in a row, well done to Sophie O’Connor and Oscar Cahalane, House Captains, for leading their house to Victory! We would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our students, parents, staff, and patrons a very happy summer break. Please stay safe over the summer months and we look forward to the 24th of August when our new cohort of 72 1st year students will begin their educational journey in C.C.C. #schoolsoutforthesummer
