What better venue to debut our fantastic new rugby jerseys, so generously provided by our Parents Association, than the hallowed turf of the main pitch at Irish Independent Park.
Team CCC narrowly lost out to St. Colman’s College, Midleton, in the first of our three games with just a five point margin at the final whistle. Every Carrigtwohill player came off the pitch happy with their individual performances and confident in the knowledge that the result could have gone either way. Unfortunately, things didn’t go Carrigtwohill’s way when we lined out against a very strong Ballincollig Community School side. However, showing great resilience and determination to reflect on and learn from that game, we came storming out in the final game against Douglas Community School with the final score of 22 – 0; more than making up for the earlier disappointment!
Overall a fantastic outing and all involved in CCC rugby are certain that it will only go from strength to strength. A special word of thanks to our fantastic Parents Association for their tremendous support and hard work in providing us with this amazing set of jerseys that we will be proud to wear for years to come and indeed to Mr. O’Brien for his hard work and dedication in organising training and participation in the blitz. #CCCRugby#buildingaculture #teambuilding
