Tonight’s Movie, chosen by the students, was ‘Invictus’. Over 30 students were captivated by the uplifting story of Nelson Mandela’s rejection of revenge after 27 years in prison in South Africa. Mandela’s role in inspiring the team to victory, defying all expectations, even beating the awesome All Blacks in the final, is a story which transcends both the generations and sport itself and teaches us great lessons for life.
€80 was donated by students and this will be given to a charity to be chosen by the students in attendance. A very special thanks to Mr. O’ Brien who organises this event and to Mr. Crowley who gave his time to help tonight.
Hopefully the Irish Boys can emulate the success of the Springboks tomorrow against the All Blacks in Dublin!!! COYBIG!!!
Roll on the December Movie Night!! All students are more than welcome, all monies donates are given to charities, and it’s a great way to catch up with fellow school mates outside of the classroom walls.
